Cost per foot is a terrible benchmark. You wouldn’t buy a car on a Cost-Per-Pound basis, would you? Instead focus on your overall budget and drill down from there. BLDG can show you past projects, actual bids, and budgets to determine realistic cost.
BLDG always builds a conservative budget. Each budget is also the result of many hours of research, planning, and actual quotes. Good problem-solving skills and constant communication significantly lowers the risk. Having lots of experience and completed many successful build jobs helps too.
The best thing to do is get in contact with BLDG. Let’s set an appointment to discuss your project. We can give you a roadmap of how the project will progress from securing financing and selecting a property, to picking an architect and working with Architectural Review Committees, HOA’s, and CCNR’s.
Unless you are a licensed, bonded, and insured contractor – the answer is likely ‘no’. We have a vetted team of talented people that will get the job done the right way.
Everybody is going to hate this answer, but – it depends. Smaller/Starter homes: 5-6 months, Mid-range/Custom homes: 8-10 months, High end/Large homes: 12 months or longer.
